Random snapshot day in secondlife

Filed under: Second life — madpeter @ 2:48 am

my first “random snapshot day” was fun
the basic idea it find somewhere nice that you have never been to before, then invite everyone thats online in your contacts group to join you as you explore.
then when ever you see something you like take an image ^_^ oh yer don’t tell anyone your doing this. if they know its coming they will try and set them selfs up for a photo.

in the end I just had images of myself, some land scape images that I liked and the girls (<_< thou I was the only man there)
I will upload the images once I have converted them from bmp to png

Power to the user. upgrading my crappy HP

Filed under: Personal life, Game on, Computers — madpeter @ 8:36 pm

well im in upgrade mode again (thou that wont make any sence to  anyone in the clan as im new :P )

Well after I killed my old AGP based computer
(it had served me well for 2years going almost 3times as
fast as it should) that I loved to bits (sob). I got the cheapest
computer I could get my hands on (just moved house again :P )

I got a HP a6001
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00968199&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3424105

it sucked hard but it worked (first thing I did was get rid of vista) woot I can play my old games again.

then lovingly grabbed the cheapest nvida card that was on
sale Nvida geforce 7300LE (about £40)
http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce_7300.html

I was fine for cs and other non source games
(and still runs cod4 with all the settings to low <_<)

but the ram was killing it
luckly my friend had just upgraded his PC so I looted his
old memory "Corsair - 2X512mb” (if anyone wants these they can have them :P

great I said but playing ins with just the basics seemed sad
(and hl2 <_< dont get me started)

so I desided I would upgrade every part of the computer
(not including the motherboard) to its max (or as close as I could get with my cash)

- Stage 1:
More ram please.

- Stage 2:
Dual core me baby
Expected to be complated on (16th nov)

- Stage 3:
but the gfxs could be better
(about 2 weeks after the 16th of nov to lasy to work out)

- Stage 4:
all shiny and new

- Stage 5:
the little things count.

- Stage 6:
round up of the cost V_V
